SAVOIR stakeholders

The stakeholders of the SAVOIR ecosystem include:

  • The agencies as customers in the institutional market
  • The customers of the commercial market (military and civil programs), including US market
  • The member states as funding providers
  • The end users who have specific requirements
  • The suppliers, who need to reduce costs and improve their links with the primes
  • The primes or system integrators, who need to control costs and reduce risks by reusing existing building blocks. They aim at customer satisfaction and at reducing their constraints.
  • The technical engineer who implement and use the technology, and contribute in risk/schedule/cost control.
  • The project managers who need to be demonstrated that Savoir will help them to meet risk/schedule/cost.

SAVOIR is the link that allows ruling them all towards a streamlined process to deliver spacecrafts faster and better. It can also be seen as the heart of the system giving life to the process. It has a potential that needs to be unleashed to deliver its energy. It must catch the train of the projects to further increase their speed.

The key elements of Savoir

The procurement process is a key element that can favor the success of Savoir, if the reference specifications are used all along the procurement process, starting from the initial customer.

SAVOIR will indeed focus mainly on the production of reference specification that will be used in Invitation To Tender (ITTs), in a way independent from industrial policies or business models.

SAVOIR will also influence the Standardization policy for the avionics interface. This will give a frame for any building block policy. SAVOIR cannot identify building blocks that will perfectly match the market. The end-to-end process including the harmonization at the level of the end user is beyond the scope of SAVOIR, whose role is to provide a good technical work.
